I.D. Images LLC, a pressure sensitive label converter headquartered in Brunswick, OH, USA, has announced the addition of PolarBond, a unique all-in-one label adhesive technology. This addition expands the ID Images’ offering of label products, especially for the food packaging market.

PolarBond addresses the restrictions of many adhesives that have slim temperature ranges. With a service range of -65°F to 150°F, this versatile adhesive is ideal for food and beverage packaging applications in which a label may need to adhere to packaging despite sub-zero temperatures, moist environments, and repeated product handling.

PolarBond is a powerful adhesive and will be available in semi-gloss, silver metalized paper, white & clear BOPP, direct thermal and thermal transfer face stocks. This adhesive will not only cling to meat and cheese packaging, but shrink wrap, waxy and high recycled content corrugate, and other low surface energy packaging materials, and it is FDA 21 CFR 175.105 compliant for food packaging.

John Signet, I.D. Images Technical Marketing Manager, says, “This all-In-one label surpasses the competition, functioning even after applied to damp surfaces where condensation has occurred.”
